Susan Cornacchio
RN, JD, CDP®
FOUNDER
Susan Cornacchio, RN, JD, is a registered nurse, attorney, and Certified Dementia Practitioner. Her career spans critical care nursing, healthcare law, and executive leadership in healthcare quality.
She began at the bedside as a critical care nurse, then earned her law degree and built a career at the intersection of clinical care, law, and healthcare operations. At CRICO, the medical professional liability insurer for the Harvard medical community, she worked with hospitals and clinicians on patient safety and improving the reliability of care. She later held an executive role at CVS Health, where she led national quality programs and developed clinical standards spanning pharmacy, retail health, and home-based care.
That clinical, legal, and operational background shapes how Yankee Home Care is structured and managed. She brought the same rigor to building this agency that she applied throughout her career: selecting caregivers carefully, communicating clearly, and staying committed to each client over time.
She lives on the North Shore and built Yankee Home Care to serve the community she calls home.

My career began in critical care nursing and grew into quality and safety improvement work in large healthcare organizations. But when my mother needed support to remain safely at home, I faced the same questions and concerns so many families do.
I learned firsthand how much compassionate, dependable caregivers mattered, not only to my mom, but to our whole family. I founded Yankee Home Care to build the kind of agency I would want for my own family: one with exceptional caregivers, personal guidance, clear communication, and a lasting commitment to each client.
Today, we help older adults stay comfortable and independent at home, while giving families more time to simply be family.
